Pardon my french, but fucking WOW.
More thoughts to come. Here are the highlights.
-FINALLY no death star.
-Oscar Isaac got a lot of good face time.
-Adam Driver was phenomenal.
-Rey/Kylo fighting in Snoke's chambers was next-level.
-Best visuals of movie BY FAR was the splitting of Snoke's ship.
-Finn/Phasma fighting was cool, if not a little brief.
-Benicio Del Toro was wonderfully watchable.
-Red crystals beneath salt surface made for beautiful scenery.
-Should've been called Star Wars: Return of the real Yoda.
-Growing themes of flawed, but evolving leaders.
-Was there more death in this SW installment than ever before?
-I want General Hux to matter, not be so spineless and disposable.
-It was nice to see the heroes (Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose) fail. Their ambition got them into trouble, and even killed fellow rebels, but taught them to be leaders. Plus it helped make their victories more victorious. Really cool plot devices.
I need another viewing. So much to digest.
