Aidan Fealy’s review published on Letterboxd:
I watched this film because I was given a scene from here in my acting class. Boy oh boy did I find it to be compelling hour and a half of exposition.
I've done enough script analysis on this film to have a conversation about it with Linklater, himself, so I'll cut to the point here. This film uses brilliant exposition between three characters to dance around the truth, and more specifically, who controls said "truth". 'Tape' creates some masterful tension and gives each character a powerful platform to manipulate it.
This is a wonderful adaptation of a stage play and one I recommend to fans of Linklater.
A well done flick.
