Notably more fun than the last two outings, which only appealed to a childlike dinosaur brain inside me. Dominion seems to take notes from Fast and Furious and Bond, a globetrotting adventure with set piece stunt sequences, only sprinkled with various dinosaurs. It hits that subconscious bare minimum bar I have for Hollywood tent poles, and quite gleefully. It does slow down a bit in its third act when plot starts to happen, but they called in Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum to keep things spinning and they’re pretty good at it. Goldblum seems to be completely himself poking fun at all the happenings, including what felt like a direct shot at Trevorrow’s previous entry. “Jurassic World—not a fan!”
