  • Eternals

Neil Gaimans run on Eternals is one of my favorite comic series ever. Now maybe it's because of that I didn't find this difficult to follow. With that being said, I found the characters to be pretty well developed for the non comic readers. I wasn't here for character development though. I know I haven't been active on here for the past while. Don't worry, that ends now.

Alberta, my beautiful Alberta. Sometimes i leaves a movie and don't really know what to say. It was good, solid laughs, unexpected 3rd act heart and great practical effects. Felt somewhat generic, but Alberta looked great.

Edit. She looked JUST like Harold Ramis. It was eery.

I really enjoyed this. As I've stated in previous reviews, comic books were a part of my upbringing. Through all my reading I never read anything that featured Shang Chi, so it was kinda nice to go in blind with a character. And it turns out, I really liked him and all the supporting characters. The fight scenes were all great, with a great bus fight and a killer third act battle. I also really liked the score, a lot of Chinese influence infused in it.

    Solid post credit scenes too.

This was a solid 4.5 then the final 15 minutes happened and it pushed this to a perfect score. David Lowery made me rethink my whole rating system. After watching A Ghost Story I had to bump down 17 of my 5 star movies, so it's only fitting that my last two movies that I've given that perfect score to are his.

I was in a trance while watching this, I was absolutely mesmerized by everything that happened. Anytime the…
