This movie was better than I thought it would be. It had a nice sense of dread and sadness, with a decent performance by Radcliffe. I think the mistake is made by the directing team to make him so sad and willing to die at the beginning of the film. It makes his actions seem predetermined.
The film also suffers from the cgi fog of ild timey London. Just get a smoke machine.
Some good scares. Nice creepy gothic atmosphere…
Very fun and enjoyable film. This movie is the middle of the road safe bet, take someone we love and do a new story. I appreciate it it very much. I would probably say it is Ron Howard’s best Film. And I am being serious.
We need to stop expecting the world from our entertainment. We hold these properties to unmatchable heights. Then we can have interesting films that take the properties in new directions.
