Actually a surprisingly good film for its time. Real issues about prison life are presented in a straightforward manner. A good script moves this film along as well as a cast of fine actors. Think of it as an OZ from the 70's

    Best movie ever made...

  • Victorio

A not very important movie about people whose lot in life is the bottom of the barrel. I could relate I thought it was swell.

  • Road

The best racing documentary I've ever seen in my life. I didn't expect much going in but isn't that how you always discover some of the best films of your life? The story of a family who left it all on the race course. The modern day racing scenes are nothing short of astounding. In the end anyone who is a risk taker will understand. It is better to have lived close to death than have never lived at all...

Tell Spring Not to Come This Year

Sangin sounds an awful lot like Saigon. It's obvious the filmmaker risked his life to document this portrait of what has happened since the US PULLED OUT OF Afghanistan for that and many other reasons this film bears witness to an important time in history. The universal theme of a soldier facing his fears when the bullets start flying has never been so well documented. Kudos to the maker of this film and the fine young men stuck in a ragtag army left behind to face the Talaban.

Good story keeps you guessing all the way thru. A bit slow towards the end but worth a look if your in the mood for a well made noir thriller on a lazy afternoon. ENJOY!

Where do you run when there's no place to run to? I've seen a lot of Iranian films and most of them are surprisingly good. I suppose oppression really does make for the best art. If they all have one thing in common it's how great they are at story telling.
This movie does not disappoint it has a very dreamlike quality beautifully photographed almost entirely in whiteout snow conditions. It is very much an Iranian version of Catch 22…

Kirk Douglas said this was his favorite film. I can see why the role was perfect for him. This is one of my favorite modern day westerns.

Next to road warrior Mel's best film IMO.

The real NYC hard working and gritty well photographed as seen thru the eyes of some Frenchmen. Fulton fish market is not exactly a tourist attraction that's what makes this doc interesting. I happen to love off the beaten path stuff and this delivers. ENJOY!
