Cirrus. Socrates. Particle. Decibel. Hurricane. Dolphin. Tulip. Monica. David. Monica.
One of the few (or only) Spielberg movies where the concept at play seems larger and more spectacular than the film itself. That’s not a complaint though—Kubrick’s influence frames everything—so much so that at times A.I. feels like a storyline fragment that broke off during Dave’s journey through the colored vortex in 2001.
