After their father's accidental death, two siblings with opposite personalities and life goals reunite and run their California horse ranch together. With very little future prospect, OJ and Emerald Haywood discover an uncanny but wonderful object in the skies above. Meanwhile, an adjacent owner of a theme park plans to profit from the sinister, otherworldly phenomenon.
Written, directed, and produced by Jordan Peele, Nope is a mysterious horror, science-fiction and mystery film. From the early trailers, the film has kept its plot so vague that the audience has no clue going into the theatre. As the story unveils, it becomes clear that Peele achieves his objectives of social commentary, cinematic reference, and unpredictable twists. Nope refreshes the Western genre with a hybrid of some sci-fi and drama elements. It's simultaneously about capitalism of capturing the perfect shot, while dedicating to the artistry of filmmaking.
