after over a year since i first saw the first installment in the corleone legacy, i finally watched The Godfather Part II.
the sheer scope of this thing makes it hard to talk about, it's an incredibly overwhelming experience the first time around.
i don't want to talk about it just yet because i know i'll sound dumb (just like the people i complain about constantly whenever i rewatch the first film), but i'll rewatch it within the next couple months and then maybe i'll be ready to analyze and explore it a bit more.
i felt this way about the first film too, if a film can keep you constantly coming back to it just to scratch right below the surface, that's great cinema right there.
i knew it was you...
