So, yeah. Alfonso Cuaron has a better understanding of young male friendship than maybe anyone who has ever made a movie about young male friendship.
I mean, this is basically Superbad, but with 2 extra doses of somberness and harsh reality.
Also, just when I'm about to get tired of all of the praise heaped on Emmanuel Lubezki, I watch this and realize that he's been killing it way before the Academy took notice. You go, Chivo!
