The Last Black Man in San Francisco ★★★★★

Mommy originally hails from the bay. Took her and my best gay to this, this afternoon. Alden cried 5 times and in the lobby afterward. We group hugged it out. And mom insisted we get ice cream to process. Even an old, icey-veined woman, such as myself,  found herself sniveling, multiple times. The clothes were great. The cinematography was great. Sets were beautiful. The portrait of black artistry at odds with black toxic masculinity, pitch perfect. The pacing and length were off, I’d say it was too long by 15 or 20 minutes. I’ll probably have to see it again, to really pick it apart, but right now I’m just in awe. A24, I feel pandered too. I’m okay with it.
