Sal and Andy's first project together is strange. While formally you could easily draw comparisons to Lucifer Valentine (with a softer heart maybe), the points it seems to be raising about the internet and how people use it are quite unique, especially in tone.

it must be so difficult to make a film like this properly. to show the sure bond between characters without being too obvious. moments of kindness that aren't unrealistically generous, moments of apathy and cruelty that aren't unrealistically evil. magic that isn't forced. suffering without despair. Angelopoulos does it all with such a steady and gentle hand from the first few shots. a really brilliant film.
