The Last Black Man in San Francisco

The Last Black Man in San Francisco ★★★★

This is what creative freedom looks like. It was a very strange first half, to the point where I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy the film. Everything falls into place in the second half and I found myself liking it more and more until the very last shots.

The score is great, it sounded like a cross between some Sufjan Stevens and a Yann Tiersen soundtrack.

Honestly, where would cinema be without A24 this year? I feel as though they are the only ones releasing films I get excited about these days.
