Logging the highest rated film from each year starting at 1920, and I'd argue that even in the 20's finding 10 films worth watching per year is a task. As I watch one film, I'll replace it with the next film on the list from that year. I haven't gotten around to a bunch of these because they are approximately one billion hours long.
I'm going to set a precedent of a minimum 2k watched since Letterboxd minimum threshold for highest rated films is PURE GARBAGE. Listed in reverse chronological order. Mini-series, concert films and documentaries , and anything else involving One Direction and BTS are being skipped.
I think I'm going to give this up soon, the years 2000 and up are a complete mess when it comes to ratings, before I stop watching movies altogether and end up watching Rammstein concerts all day.
