Ty Landis’s review published on Letterboxd:
I guess I can excuse the bargain bin take on grief but I cannot forgive Aster’s overbearing formal slickness which does so little in the way of building tension and character psychology, instead the film’s tedious and predictable endgame is so nursed and terribly arrived at. All that elongated formalism, the cheap shocks – in the service of what exactly? Fradulence masquerading as confidence. Homeboy is 0-2 in my book.
