Filled me with dread and I was invested the entire time. There’s a certain comfort in an M. Night movie that I’ve come to appreciate over the years.

If Casablanca is an ode to the virtues and kindnesses of humanity then The Third Man is a funeral for them.

I don’t know why I always go into these types of movies expecting some type of hokey old-world bright eyed  inauthenticity. This 75 year old movie is a lot smarter and more on it than I am. It was kind of like if no country for old men was a SpongeBob episode(glad to see several reviews on here agreeing).

The same evil ignorance that the Nazis/German regime had is still inside each and every one of us. This isn’t ancient history.…

    “This is water”

I know it’s not a strong critique to make, and I absolutely adore this movie, but with a little more care and time I think this could have been the greatest Pixar movie yet and maybe the greatest animated movie ever. It made me cry again and I felt like a kid again. The same way Pixar’s best used to made me feel. I hope that so many kids and young people will learn Soul’s lesson earlier…
