Tyler Hicks’s review published on Letterboxd:
I give this movie a lot of credit because unlike some of the other most recent marvel movies, it doesn't get worse with a rewatch. I think it does have a serious emotional core to it, and while it sometimes doesn't seem like it's taking that core seriously, that's made up for in Michael Rooker as Yondu. Oh, and Ego isn't nearly as great as I remember but she me I still kinda dig him because he's certainly better than some of the other garbage villains the universe has created (looking at Ronan, Yellowjacket, Malekith, Ultron, etc.) so sue me.
