  Priscilla really caught me by surprise and is easily one of the best films I have seen this year. I love Elvis, so this film was right up my alley.   The Deer Hunter is a very long film, and there is a lot to unpack from it. To begin, The Deer Hunter is so well cast, and they have great chemistry. Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, John Cazale, Merryl Streep, George Dzundza, and Richard Kuss were all great, and their dynamic as a friend group felt so authentic.   I think the plot and storytelling of this film are lacking, but the futuristic depictions of the world 45 years from now are fascinating. There are no special acting performances in this; John David Washington and Ken Watanabe were solid but nothing great. What really carries this film and makes it worth watching is the way it looks. It is pretty amazing they made The Creator look so good with a relatively low budget. Overall, this was an okay film for me, but I was impressed by what they pulled off.
