Day 85 out of 365:
Today I decided to look into the date that Phil Connors predicted to be the start of spring which was “March 21st”.
Most of the stuff I found that happened on that day was to do with wars and presidents but then I stumbled onto March 21st 1982 and I think I’ve found some meaning to what Phil said.
On the 21st of March 1982 the movie “Annie” premiered. One of the hit songs in “Annie” is called “Tomorrow” which has a first verse that goes:
“The sun will come out
Bet your bottom dollar
There'll be sun!”
So I think when he says “March 21st” it is actually a reference to the song “tomorrow” in “Annie” and it would make sense as it connects with the movie “Heidi II” as both “Heidi II” and “Annie” are movies about orphans.
