Deathrow Gameshow

Deathrow Gameshow

"Who taught you how to drive? Ian Fleming?"

Just one example of the kind of humour you're dealing with in Deathrow Gameshow. A truly tasteless, cheaply made film packed with so much crudity even Viz magazine would have trouble competing with it. I'm surprised it even got made.

With that said, as low budget as it is, and as deep in the gutter as the humour is, this is actually an alright film. There's a lot of visual gags in it, but some of the one-liners in the script are actually really well done. Not only that but the smattering of fake TV adverts, film trailers and much more are really quite creative. It's a film that certainly pushes many boundaries but does it in a way that piques and holds the interest of the viewer.

By no means is this a good film, far from it. But it definitely falls in to the category of so bad it's good and is certainly worthy of at least one viewing by everyone, even if just to see something that's actually fairly original and also the likes of which will likely never be made again. Some of the humour is certainly very dated and some scenes don't hold up well today.

Give Deathrow Gameshow a try though. If anything just to experience something different.
