Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 1984 ★★★½

This is generally thought of as the least good Indiana Jones movie (outside of the not-even-in-the-conversation "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"), and I have to agree with that. A lot of the attempts at comedy (most of which involve Willie) fall flat.

Nevertheless, this is still a solid action adventure with a ton of iconic scenes that influenced many similar films after it. It's also surprisingly violent, and that Thugee ritual scene was burned into my brain from the first time I watched it as a kid.
