Without spoiling anything, I’ll just say I didn’t like how things turned out in this movie. I think that might be the point. That doesn’t mean it’s not a good movie though.
I knew Emerald Fennell’s name from Killing Eve (which I love), and she displays considerable directing talent here. The movie looks great and has a ton of style, and Carey Mulligan is very good in the lead role. There are some pacing issues and weird tonal shifts that keep it from a higher rating in my opinion, but it’s definitely worth watching.
