Hereditary ★★★★

"She isn't gone."

This was even better the second time around. If the first viewing of this film is a life-changing experience, the second builds on that. Everything has a bleeding clarity to it. Every line, every frame, every object, every glance, every drawing, every noise. If Ari Aster can make two game-changing films (this and Midsommar) within the span of, like, a year and a half, it's time to pretty much just grant him funding for whatever the hell he wants to do at this point. This movie just straight-up rules.
