  • Play

Play gives you the chance to relive the most precious moments of your life. That is, if you were born in the '80s. The film plays with all those memories built up during childhood, adolescence and the transition to adulthood. In the form of videos recorded in the first person, we live through Max's eyes a lifetime of memories. The pitch is simple without ever being simplistic. All the beauty of the film lies in these time capsules that work so well together. The emotion is palpable and the spectator dives into this story to come out of it with wet eyes. A big crush!

  • Whiplash

A serious kick in my stomach. This movie is stirring.

    The Babadook

The Babadook is scary, terrifying but also very moving and has a deep sense of storytelling. The directing of Jennifer Kent is very inspiring and she never looses the audience with some cheap thrills. It's a movie about the power of love and that's why it makes it so interesting. The performances by the two leads are impressive and make The Babadook one of the most important movie of the year.

This one, maybe I was expecting the most because it's certainly my favorite book of the trilogy. And it does not disappoint.
At the end, I couldn't believe it was already over. The pace is really good as the movie is very well structured. Francis Lawrence succeeds at capturing all the feelings I've got during my reading and that…
