Surprisingly managed to pull on my heartstrings despite all the silliness and weird jokes. Also brought back some happy memories of early childhood watching the EuroVision contest with my family and friends. The funny thing is that the real songs are even more crazy and full of patos than the ones cleverly presented in this movie.

Story about a fresh out of prison father coming to investigate a sudden death of his estranged daughter is very straightforward but told in a quite unusual way through back and forward flashes. 20 years ago must have felt considerably more original and inventive although it kept the strangeness and a memorable performance of the titular character.
Everyone who played a character from previous movies made me believe that is the same character while making it their own. Additionally Emilia C. is amazing as multilayered Han's girlfriend and Woody is great as Han's mentor. Ron Howard got the tone right and the world is as gritty as the one in Rogue One, which captures perfectly the original feel from A New Hope. Overall very enjoyable fun ride that went by pretty fast. I'd be interested in another Han's and/or Lando's adventure.
To clarify I've watched only the Ultimate Edition, so I can't comment on the improvement, which was obviously made. I was wondering which scenes were added and I think I could guess which few scenes were extended. For a 3h running time, it surprised me how well it was paced throughout the whole movie.
