"It's my life. I only got one, and it's very short. You don't get long."
- Richard Marquand
Captures the horror of adulthood in an abstract but almost universally relatable way. Utilizing humorous moments that marinate in a depressing environment to the fullest capacity without fucking with the tone at all. A movie where you have made every face the main character shows throughout the running time. Not so much a transformative experience as it a spritual awakening of sorts that unlocks parts of you that have been forgotten about. Doesn't play into desire but into fear, and yet you leave thinking instead of depressed. Lynch is not my favorite director but he brings out more in me compared to anyone else.

FADE IN - EXT. DAY LEATHERFACE HOUSE
Dr. Chungus: "This is the house where Leatherface lived in. Let's go in it!"
The other friends are reluctant at first but go in anyways so who cares
Cut to interior shots of the house showing random things from the first film in the most open areas with god rays shining down upon them signaling their importance.
Cut to the chainsaw leatherface used in the first and only first film hahaha lol xd…
