“Shotgun Wedding” is stupid, pointless, silly, goofy, absurd and certainly not particularly well made. The plot is nonsensical, the dialogues not good and it doesn’t look great. It’s not a good film.
“Shotgun Wedding” also is a whole lot of fun. Sometimes it’s genuinely funny, sometimes it’s funny cause it’s bad. I laughed a whole lot, once even embarrassingly loud. Jennifer Coolidge is great and I honestly think that there are truly funny moments in this film.
It’s nothing special. It’s formulaic and dumb. It’s also a damn good time, if you’re open to it. Embrace the badness and enjoy. I had a great time.
