Seeing BvS again in it's full glory, all 3 fucking hours, as someone who gunned hard for this movie is definitely something. Maybe I need to find some chill and stop attaching myself to superhero films the gp is whatever on, but the ultimate cut really does help the pacing/the parts people were like 'it didn't make any sense.' Some things were gotten from context clues but right here, the full three acts was definitely something that you had to go for. The Jesus Imagery with Clark was like yikes worthy, but there's something special that begins with two thirds of the holy trinity being battle-worn and exhausted, and are brought back to hope by someone as pure as Superman who only wants to help others. "It's all some people have, Lois says as she touches the s on Superman's chest" resonates deeply in how Clark is just a newbie hero to martyr, and everyone realizes that Clark, despite not being able to save everyone, did the best he could. Snyder really loves imagery and metaphors and there was a lot happening; it essentially has to do the world building of a bunch of Marvel films (which is kind of stupid reasoning given how no Marvel film did any world building besides the first Iron-Man, Captain America and Thor, everything else just coasted by) but it did. Not everyone wants to see 3 hours of a movie but hey if you can watch Titanic, you can deal with it. Lois especially shines, sleuthing as star reporter, in the Ultimate Edition where you can see that she knows something else is happening but no one will give her a straight answer. She's definitely a key here, and I'm excited to see the direction the rest of the Justice League will build up with their neat assortment of directors.

I don't give a FUCK about the reviews that came out, they were way too harsh when like we as a species also let aou come out but that's none of my business. This was so good!! About gods and monsters, the classical imagery, the freaking motifs of each of the heroes. It was, in my opinion, a breath of life to the DC pantheon which has gone too long focusing on just batman. That said, the holy trinity was bomb as hell.
