Shift

Shift

One of the greatest 3D films ever made. Matsumoto reveals the nature of shape, its possibilities and range. What if someone would cut this world into pieces and start throwing them around? Changing their position by just simply moving them around. Image gains so many new levels and layers when it's exposed to change. What is the only norm in the world? Change. This is proved by cinema. Something similar becomes something totally new and we don't even need to start taking pieces elsewhere. What if we'd cut pencil to pieces and we'd be able to move it around in various speeds, from slow speed to something man's hand is unable to do? What is shift? Matsumoto wasn't only clever and intelligent portrayer of human condition but also artist who was ready to explore the essence of cinema and the world itself.
