To myself, I was really all that I imagined. But I was 12 years old and you are 36, you see? My hands were sweating after the car chase. So brilliant. Wang Chung score is off the charts.

"So, think about it and try to tell yourself, whoever you may be, in the quiet of your home, in the safety of your bed, try to tell yourself, it couldn't happen here."

Nothing quite like a made for tv movie about a vampire serial killer loose in Las Vegas, adapted by Richard Matheson. The premise alone was enough to fill me with satisfaction that something like this exists. Really, really loved the narration, and really, really loved the depiction of the vampire, it was pretty scary! Also very worrying how ill equipped we are to deal with vampires, should they ever... become a problem.

ummm hello 911 i'd like to report the sighting of an actual (dc) superhero movie with a non-disastrous script and a heartfelt, sensitive, beautiful story that *also* has funny scenes, not just awful one-liners (looking at you m*rvel) !!!! is this the twilight zone

Just introduced my younger sister to the horror genre with Halloween and she really liked it! She gasped a lot and rooted for Laurie ferociously, loved trying to predict what was going to happen and, at one point, asked me “Is this Michael, like, a supernatural kinda monster?”. She was a bit confused as to why exactly I was flipping out over her agreeing to watch the movie and then enjoying the experience but, I mean, is there anything more special than sharing something you love with someone you love?!
