Noah Smith’s review published on Letterboxd:
Zulawski’s a madman.
The cinematography, while focus can be spotty at times, is quite beautiful. Lot of natural lighting but the interior sets and overall design is great as well. The handheld camera with the wide lenses is pretty incredible. Love the look.
I don’t know what he did to get the kind or performances he does but man is it uncanny. Everyone acts like they’re about to explode. The film itself is completely maniacal. It feels so cold and dirty (got some Hard to be a God vibes in that area).
