i could not blink for fear of missing even a strand of vfx hair and then i cried and then the tears got squashed in between my then-puffy face and my little 3d glasses and then my vision blurred but everytime atta turned my way to say something i burst into laughter again bc i couldn’t take him seriously w the stupid glasses on and couldn’t help but wonder if that was all part of the way of water immersive experience

yummy. a daring delicacy with enough parody of pretentiousness to really eAt the rich and enough referential self awareness to leave you in fits of laughter. this film feels like what a final critique at daap feels like: intense and destructive and ahh i wanna sprint out the door but theres no escape. a little too ari aster for my liking and (violently) disorganized, but its honestly admirable how the seemingly self-satisfactory filmmakers just went absolute fuck all with it…
