Tais Nøhr Larsen’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is wildly overrated.
The first half is pure clunky exposition. The second half is pure clichées.
After watching Luca earlier today which did so much with so little, this tries so hard and doesn't get there. We get a story about litterally saving the world and bringing piece and harmony and along that, we never really get to know our protagonist at all.
Aside from that, I'm not sure who this is meant for. The plot is convoluted and explained in long exposition scenes that are rather non child friendly. It is also extremely cliché and basic enough that most grown ups can guess exactly what it's about before they watch it.
While clunky and poorly written it was beatifully animated - at least the surroundings. The dragons looks like a cheap mixup between My Little Pony and Elsa from Frozen.
