Zootopia ★★★

A fairly nuanced portrait of racism/sexism/classism that was on the border of being too much on the nose. The film had the most generic Disney plot (which is never bad, but we've seen it time and time again). The characters were not as fleshed out as some of the better animated movies. Our main character is a very one-dimensional always-moral rabbit who only breaks with her moral once in a sudden break of character to make the plot move on. In general disney and pixar have made so many loveable characters and none of the ones in this one are really rememberable at all. It's still a fun film and worth a watch. It's just not meeting the extremely high standards disney and pixar have set for themselves.
