Rambo: First Blood Part II 1985
As a kid I wanted the Rambow with those cool exploding arrowheads. I still do.

The Lego Batman Movie 2017
I wish I had a kid to watch this with. It really is an excellent family film. It's not condescending and it actually understand the universe of Batman quite well. It is, of course, also silly and I did feel weird watching this alone at the age og 27.

Summer of 84 2018
Rich Sommers is amazing. Aside from that I was hoping for a twist all the way through this film to make it something other than just another rear window copy. I guess that suspension did make it worth my time but i would never want to rewatch this since there exists so many movies with the exact same plot.

Jingle All the Way 1996
JAMIE. JAMIE. JAMIE.
A gem from a time when bombs and rape-wibes were still funny. -
Mission: Impossible III 2006
The first two acts of this film is great. In the thirds, however, the movie does rap up too quickly and that in turn makes it feel consequenceless. There is no PTSD or aftermath whatsoever.
Phillip Seymour Hoffman could have been the series' best villian if we had got to know him and his motives. The other villian has barely any motive at all either and what he does have makes no sense. Both of them are offed during five minutes being so much of an anticlimax that it makes me feel like J.J. Abrams was in a hurry to finish up. -
Mission: Impossible II 2000
Yes, yes I know this is shitty. I still absolutely love it though. Perhaps not as a Mission Impossible movie but as one of those iconic action movies that defined the 1990s and my childhood.

The Iron Giant 1999
I don't care much for the animation style and that really makes it hard to immerse myself in the universe. The robot is cool though and I do love the main themes and the sacrifice in the end.
However, I don't care for anybody in this movie except for the robot and the villian is so without details that it hurts.
I know I am gonna get crucified for this but I think this is heavily overrated. -
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 2006
I don't know what is wrong with me - I actually enjoy these films a lot more than I'd ever thought I would. The protagonist is NOT a good actor but the rest of the movie kiiind of works for what it is - a really cliché 2006 film.
Even though the film has many obvious drawbacks my main one is the fact that the japanese people apparently only speak english even when they are alone together.
"But it's because japanese is translated for the audience". Nope. We hear them speak japanese multiple times as well. -

Solo: A Star Wars Story 2018
Did i need to know why Han is called solo?
No.
Did i need feminist droid politics in a franchise that was created to be an escape from the politics of the cold war?
No.
Did i need a scene telling me explicitly the Han wants to be a bad boy but is really a good guy deep down?
Oh god no.
Did i need an origin story about somebody who was already a well rounded character in the original… -

Snowpiercer 2013
Fine, albeit slightly unoriginal premise. The characters didn't do much for me and I never invested myself a lot in any of them. One of the reasons why were probably the confusing mix of genres.
The premise and Chris Evans' acting are quite dark and serious but at times the atmosphere seemed almost silly - and not in the cool tarantino-esque style. It seemed like 1984 made into a childrens film most of the time. While the directors' other film…
