Letterboxd — Your life in film

A fresh story with the same undying premise as the original.

The animations in this one did not age well. Still might be the best idea for a children's movie to date.

Like so many documentaries this made me lose focus before the climax, mainly because it was a bit too long. It was still breathtaking and a piece of history caught right on camera and definitely worth a watch

Surprisingly not as good the second time. All the 90's nostalgia bored me a bit more. Still a great movie though and Carol Danvers is still as badass as always!

Sweet and fun

The female version of Boyhood with pacing on steroids.
I hate and love our titular character at the same time.

As a study in film and dialogue in particular, this is a masterpiece. The plot is not that exciting to me though.

With a straightforward thriller-plot, Wind River is surprisingly deep with social critiques and a lingering appreciation of Wyomings wild nature. Wind River doesn't try to be a lot of things but where it tries, it succeeds.

This is not a feminist manifesto and thank god. This is a solid Avengers: Origins movie that so happens to be about the most badass female superhero.
It suffers from not having a proper showdown but it does manage to balance and juggle all the rules and plots from over 20 films while giving me an actual female character that is not just cool 'because she's a woman'

Definitely amongst the best animated dc movies
