Oh god, the constant fish eye thing🤢🤢🤢
Aside from that, this movie is absolutely delightful. Garish & grotesquely beautiful & hilarious & brilliant. All three women’s performances were fantastic & hit every beat of the very specific Lanthimos tone of the film. Even though it is a farcical depiction, I have a bit of a weakness/guilty pleasure for period pieces & I just died for the overall production design. The rooms, the gowns, the men in ridiculous wigs & makeup that looks like my 6 year old applied it... I love the gaudy pomposity of it all. The look, the performances, the music, the dialogue & wit of this film all worked perfectly for me. Def a fave of the year.
