Briant Tran’s review published on Letterboxd:
I was skeptical about the hype surrounding this but was looking forward nonetheless. When I was finally able to get around to seeing it, I was relived that any doubt I had was expelled within the first few moments of the movie. This is by far the greatest Spider-Man film period. Its a love-letter to the character and his cultural impact since his introduction in 1962. The animation was absolutely phenomenal. No disrespect to Pixar, Disney, or illumination studios but if all of you are practicing realism and animations on the hinge of uncanny valley in each of your features they will all only be that much harder to tell apart. Despite how many fibers in a t-shirt or strands of hair you render. Into the spider-verse utilizes multiple mediums to tell the story of Miles Morales. Fans from all eras and generations of the character will adore this. This is one of those occurrences where the hype was real.
