Mulholland Drive is completely unlike anything that has ever come before it (except maybe Eraserhead which I think I now owe a re-watch) and completely unlike anything that will ever come after it. Throughout the film Lynch shows us piece after piece of an incredibly confusing and twisted puzzle where nothing seems to fit together, then in the ending whatever story we have attempted to assemble is cast aside as Lynch unveils one of the greatest narrative twists I have ever seen.
I'm a sucker for innovative storytelling and Mulholland Drive is really something special. I can't wait to re-watch it.
