While it didn't surpass my expectations, perhaps due to all the hype surrounding it, this really is a great example of how enlightening cinema can be. My favourite aspect is the descriptions of the little things people enjoy in life which gives you an I'm-not-the-only-one kind of feeling.
Amelie, in her altruistic efforts to help people, is also a highly likeable character and we worry about her in her isolation. Overall this is an enjoyable, quirky, feel good film with wonderful cinematography that leaves you extremely satisfied in the end.
