Victor Dubyna’s review published on Letterboxd:
Stalker is a film that, to me, doesn't even feel like it was made by a human. On a similar level to 2001, the experience feels so wholly unique, alien, and divine. Watching this film, again, like 2001, is such a spiritually haunting and mystifying experience that I cannot help but call it divine, as it feels like an experience that can only be the product of some sort of alien or divine being. Is Tarkovsky God? Haha, no. But what an achievement, that I cannot comprehend that this film is the product of anything but. Every aspect of filmmaking is used exceptionally to create a truly hypnotizing and mind-expanding experience that I eagerly anticipate revisiting.
