While I didn’t love it like I did the first, The Lego Movie 2 still delivers plenty of heart and laughs, proving itself as a worthy addition to this franchise. The animation is great and the songs really do get stuck inside your head. The voice cast is terrific once again and I really enjoyed what Tiffany Haddish brought to the table, not only her comedic talent but her surprising singing ability…

This is basically the exact same movie as the original. The only real changes made were for comedic effect, and I admit I did find this version to be much funnier. However, it’s still an odd type of humor and I think a lot of audiences going into this expecting another Liam Neeson revenge/action flick are going to be dissapointed. While it’s far from perfect, I had an awesome time with Alita: Battle Angel. The action sequences in this film are amazing and gave me such an adrenaline rush that I got chills at times. I loved the fight scenes and the race sequence which had Robert Rodriguez written all over it… a bit reminiscent of Spy Kids 3. The visuals were…

I was so hyped for this! Massively disappointed. I understand and appreciate the satire of the LA art scene, and the messages about how we view art and artists putting their soul into their work. The kills were also very unique. However, the film just doesn’t have much entertainment value. Most of the stacked cast is underused, but Jake is still fun to watch. The film was dull when it focused on the art critics and it wasn’t scary when it focused on the horror. After Nightcrawler, Gilroy's films have been pretty underwhelming.
