I believe I watched this the first time as a teenager, but last night I recommended to a group of my friends that we watch it all together (none of them had seen or really heard of it). All of them walked away feeling it was one of the best sci-fi/horror films they'd seen so far.

Honestly, with such talented leads who are truly quite good at acting, and such a potentially compelling story, I didn't find this movie very good? Not disappointing persay, just, lacking. You watch the whole thing waiting for The Moment thats unforgettable but that moment never happens. Like it was done off the first draft of the screenplay.
