Vineet Aziz’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well, it's a lot.
I've been trying to figure out how to explain the story, but there's no real, simple way to do it. Legitimately feels like it was written by fans, in the all the best and worst ways imaginable. There's maybe 3 different movies that happen, with submovies in the middle of it all. If it was edited and paced differently, I might have given it 4 stars. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the big battle but the fan service moments were really nice, albeit well, fan service-y. Satisfying and unexpected ending, but I'm left with more questions about story logic than ever before. No spoilers today, but they pretty much broke all the rules, and not always in a good way. Nonetheless, lots of great things to love, and plenty of doors opened and closed in exciting ways.
Rewatching on Friday and probably safe to do a spoiler review then.
