Vinny Simpson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Saw this at an advanced screening.
Essentially a less sterilized, better edited, and more striking version of Bohemian Rhapsody. All of the performances were really awesome particularly Taron Egerton and Jamie Bell. All the big musical numbers including the really spectacular choreography added loads to the film. The cinematography was outstanding at certain points. Obviously it’s not perfect, there’s a bit of cheese but it fit with the movie being a straight up musical. Overall it’s a fairly standard biopic structure that’s elevated by the creative presentation.
