Hooptober Part VIII Film #16
Heard this was one of Christopher Lee’s favorite roles and I can see why. He’s full of energy as he counters the darkness instead of portraying it. This must have been a breath of fresh air for him during his Hammer run. What a total blast to revel in this satanic gem. Everyone is excellent! Somehow this felt light and breezy among all the grim rituals. Never dull, always at the ready to keep the evil of Satan at bay. The circle of protection sequence takes the cake. A killer Hammer flick.
