This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Some notes after the second viewing…
    - This is only down half a star because I’m not sure how rewatchable it’ll end up being
    - I audibly laughed when the Riddler said “Hey guys” on his livestream.
    - After the first viewing, I was iffy on how little we got to see Bruce. But this time, I actually loved how they showed how he is more comfortable as the Bat than he is as Bruce. Like The Riddler said, that’s…

Ok, Ok, Ok... I used to downplay this movie to not sound like all the people who don’t know movies yet pretend to know movies. However, this film is absolutely brilliant. I think this is the 4th (?) time I’ve seen this, but the first time in like 6 years. And holy crap.

    Let’s sum it up...

    Score? Perfect.
    Cast? Perfect.
    Acting? Perfect.
    Story-telling? Perfect.
    Emotion? Perfect.
    Message and themes? Perfect.
    Special FX? Perfect.
    Editing? PERFECT.

    It’s in one way…

Wow. What a spectacle. The whole movie I was just thinking “how are they pulling off this camera work and lighting and blocking and editing and set design?” Sheesh.

It’s like Saving Private Ryan meets Rope with a hint of North By Northwest (plane scene) and Dunkirk. Aka it’s perfect.

Everything improved. And *almost* everything was perfect. We got more context (story is great), more character development, better action, better SFX and aesthetics, and clearer direction. And it wasn’t at the expense of the run time or spoiling future plot points or anything. It worked! Despite me wanting to be critical, it worked. Glad I watched it in one take, but I’ll probably split it up for future rewatches.
