  • Hair

I've never been a classic musical fan, but give me the more modern rock classics like Hair, I am all on it. HAIR is a movie that is about living life during an era with military drafts. A group of young adults meet an guy who is on his way to the military and takes him under their wing to show him a good time and essentially shows him how to live and not conform to the system.
    This music…

  • Sunset Boulevard

    Sunset Boulevard

I honestly didn't think I was going to like this movie. I really didn't even know what to expect but I took a chance (well, every movie is a chance for me) because it is expiring on netflix.
I loved it. I loved everything about it. I loved the narration of a dead man telling his story. I loved how they spoke to each other. I loved how creepy Norma continued to get as the movie progressed. I might have…

  • Making a Murderer

    Making a Murderer

I really enjoyed this series...mainly because I love true crime. It is fascinating. A lot of stuff didn't make sense about why the lawyers did not bring up key facts, but at the same time we are only seeing bits and pieces and don't know if it was actually brought up.
Obviously, we know the outcome because it is real life but it was cool to see how it all played out and the conspiracy theories of everyone involved. Its not all that long and definitely worth the watch.

  • Gloria

This movie was my most anticipated film of 2015 because it was the first biopic film of someone I listened to and actually followed musically. The film is the half life story of Gloria Trevi, a pop music idol from Mexico, and how she rose to fame blinded by love for her producer.
The acting was great, at time I felt like I was watching Gloria herself and not some actress. Both lead actors did a great job with their…

  • Bambi

I have not seen this movie since I was young and watching now I realized that truly there is no story to this movie, no plot, no real sense of story except that of the circle of life. I am glad that they made the characters true animals instead of having them more like people; it kept it real. We watched the commentaries with it, which always is fun with Disney because you learn so much of the creation of…

  • Mac and Me

    Mac and Me

This movie is just a wanna-be E.T. with some many similarities… an addition to a human consumption item, destroying things to make other things, an injured or sick boy who needs to be healed by the alien. and a chase to get the alien back to it’s family. It was not original at all and none of the characters were that likable.

  • Pepe

My solo movie of the weekend was Pepe... I started watching two others before this and was constantly interrupted or preoccupied that I could not focus enough, so after dinner I tried again.
After watching the film, "Cantinflas", I took a chance on this. I also like Mexican cinema, so this kinda fits in the middle. Cantinflas is a character created by Mario Moreno in the golden age of cinema for Mexico and appeared in many movies and television shows.…

  • Bloody Mama

    Bloody Mama

I had mentioned to my wife that I wanted to watch more older movies so we started to see what channels we had on cable and see about taping a few so I can expand my classics section. Netflix is sorely lacking in that department. We found this movie and we were going to tape it but saw we could watch on demand, so we did.
Wow... this movie was horribly bad that it was good. I didn't know what…

  • Sicario

I really enjoyed this film like the majority of the people I follow did. It was beautifully shot and didn't need huge explosions and massive take downs in order to show a high suspenseful film.
The acting was superb by Emily Blunt and Benecio Del Toro, who I loved in this role. I think this is a movie I could watch over again.

  • Furious 7

    Furious 7

I don't know how much more I can add to the reviews of this movie that have not been said before. Furious7 continues to be a franchise that is never ending and just because Paul Walker won't be here to continue on, the rest of the cast doesn't show signs of wanting to either.
Car chases, tricks, explosions, gun's all there for you to enjoy. We have seen F&F movies without Paul Walker that were incredible, so I feel…

  • Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

    Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

At first I thought to myself, "ugh another Mission Impossible" but when I saw that they kept a lot of the same crew as Ghost Protocol, I was happy. Simon Pegg continues to give us humor to make the impossible possible. I think Tom Cruise needs that sidekick in order to keep a good balance.
The film's story is good and I liked the fact that the continued to let the audience guessing of who was working for you.

  • Big Hero 6

    Big Hero 6

My first move of 2016 was Disney's Big Hero 6 and I have to say that I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would. From previews, I never understood what the movie was going to be about so I was a little "meh" about the idea of the movie.
BH6 was funny, sad, and adventurous and sadly geared to the boy market that Disney has been trying to tap for a long time. In order to capture that…
