I love this movie. I'm always rewatching it. I love the way they rebooted the story. However, I am disturbed by Spock's improbable and unconvincing act of abandoning Kirk almost to death on a hostile planet because of mutiny - seriously violating the rules of starfleet but also running the risk of responding to the murder of a cadet. He was very likely to die on that planet, damn it. And that thing how Nero stood 25 years wandering through space waiting and without doing literally NOTHING also does not convince me.
I'm really glad I see this. Mostly because now I can disagree with a lot of bad remarks that i've read about the movie.
At first sight I thought I was watching a solid, consistent, but kinda supercial movie. The saturated and vibrant color palette on a hipster vibe soon reminded me of "Moonrise Kingdom", but the director makes a more sensitive use of this colors here: because he changes them according to the scene, depending on what he wants…
First of all I have to say that, to give less than 5 stars to this movie, I'd have to point out something bad about it, right? Well, I can't do it, but I have a question for you guys:
From the moment they put the Joker in jail until the end of the movie: Is there a moment in cinema more exciting and thrilling than this?
