    Universal Dark Universe. I guess this might still be a thing despite the poor domestic reception of this movie. And I guess any franchise sounds good to the powers that be, so in a way, Dark Universe still makes sense.

    But why is it an action series? I know making mummies, Frankenstein, invisible men and gill monsters scary to audiences now the way they were in the 30's doesn't seem plausible but I still don't think action is the way…

    Maybe it's because I saw the second Adam West animated Batman movie before seeing this one, but I actually prefer the sequel. Batman vs Two-Face had stronger pathos and funnier jokes, which some felt gave the movie an uneven tone. Still, I preferred too much pathos and too many jokes to the way Caped Crusaders seems to rely solely on its premise for humor and action. Not that it wasn't a ton of cheeky fun.
